Freedom Fenders announces the invention of the world's first self-centering fender!

It's patented "V" shape self-centers on pilings no matter which way the yacht moves. Equally effective on floating docks, for Med-moor or rafting, these unique fenders hang either horizontally or vertically, making them the only fenders you'll ever need.

Sizes are available for 70-100 and 100-200 foot vessels, weighing just 7 and 10 pounds. This makes them easy for any member of the crew to handle! To stow, simply deflate, roll them up and put them almost anywhere. The convenient locking valve makes inflation quick with a compressor, vacuum, or foot pump. Made of oil-resistant 40 ounce PVC fabric, and reinforced at all wear points with rugged 60 ounce fabric, they are heat and pressure welded, NOT glued, for long life and dependability. An available patch kit assures you of years of reliable use!

And also available- Freedom Fenders for 30-70 foot boats! Made of heaviest-grade molded PVC, they work just like the mega-yacht fenders and come with a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. No more crooked, popped out fenders, ugly fenderboards, sleepless nights or cluttered companionways!

Finally, a fender that works so your crew doesn't have to! Contact Freedom Fenders, Inc., 2800 SW 4th Ave. #8, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315, Telephone 954-525-2774, Fax 954-525-2782, or on the web at http://www.freedomfenders.com

New Marine Services

Marketing information now available to the marine industry.

Info-Link is now offering high-quality marketing information to various marine related companies including boat manufacturers, distributors, dealers, marinas, yacht brokers, and accessories retailers. They help these types of companies target boat owners with direct mail and they also provide statistical reports that aid in the process of analyzing and tracking specific markets around the country. Their databases are derived from the various states' registration files and the U.S. Coast Guard file, but what turns this raw data into true "information" is Info-Link's expertise in database management. They acquire the various public records files on a quarterly basis (monthly in Florida), make the appropriate conversions, scrub the data to clean up errors and validate certain information, then offer the customized lists or reports according to preference.

If direct marketing is your interest, Info-Link is able to provide boat owner lists in a variety of formats including comma delimited text, DBF, Excel, Access, and even pre-printed adhesive labels. For electronic formats, they can deliver lists via e-mail, FTP, diskette, CD-ROM, zip disk, tape, or cartridge. Lists can be targeted by boat type or brand, length or model year range, prop type, hull material, and geographical location.

In the same vein as providing prospecting lists, Info-Link has developed a new system for helping boat manufacturers create and maintain "marketing databases". The primary benefit of building and using a marketing database is that it enables a company to build brand loyalty, to find and convert valid prospects to customers, and to maximize customers' lifetime value. The key is capturing knowledge about customers and prospects and actively using the database to leverage this knowledge in the marketplace. Various direct communications such as newsletter circulation, prospect mailings designed to drive traffic to dealers, product recalls and service reminders, outbound calls, pre-show mailings, etc. can all be continuously executed using the marketing database, thus building valuable relationships with current and future customers.

If statistical reports are your interest, Info-Link's latest service is worth taking a look at. They have the ability to customize just about any report according to your specifications and can deliver it in a variety of formats including hard copies, Excel files, or even pre-defined web-based formats. Reports typically show the number of new boat sales by quarter and year, by make, length, model year, prop type, hull material, state, metro area, county, or zip code, or any combination thereof.
